The Room Reservation Service, powered by EMS, is a Yale-supported space management platform that allows users to quickly and easily make and manage bookings for various spaces on campus. It is one of several space management platforms used at Yale University.
EMS Web and EMS Desktop
The Room Reservation Service platform is made up of two products: The Web Application and the Desktop Application.
The Web Application is accessible via the your web browser at rrs.yale.edu (requires CAS login) and is intended for users to easily make and manage their own reservations. The Web Application is also optimized for mobile browsing, so you can quickly make changes to your room reservations while out and about on campus. It’s also available to almost anyone with an active NetID, though the spaces you’ll be able to view will vary depending on your level of access.
The EMS Desktop Application is intended for EMS power users—people who make room reservations often as part of their job responsibilities, or whose job responsibilities include managing booking requests for spaces on campus. Use of the Desktop Application is limited to these users, who must request access from the Room Reservation Service support team. In addition to the ability to make and modify reservations, the Desktop Application offers a variety of other functions for administrators, such as:
- Reporting Functionality
- An Administrative Dashboard to manage booking requests
- Academic Course Sync with Banner
The Desktop Application can be accessed through a remote desktop via MyApps at Yale.
