In EMS, confirmations are vital for communicating essential details about a reservation, such as date, time, location, and scheduled resources, to the group or individual hosting. They ensure the accuracy of the reservation setup and can include information on outstanding issues like balances due, organizational policies, or whether an event is pending approval or confirmed. Confirmations can be automatically sent after a booking is made in the EMS Web App or can be generated manually from the desktop client. They typically inform end users about event details and any financial obligations.
Notifications, on the other hand, are automatically triggered based on predefined rules such as bookings, status changes or additions. These notifications are sent out based on specific criteria set in the notification rules, including bookings, service orders, or VIP events.
Most commonly, notifications are used to alert administrators for a given space of new reservations or requests. Notifications can be delivered both via email and via the EMS dashboard. Generating Confirmations
To send confirmations manually, you can open a reservation in the Navigator and access the Confirmation Settings under Settings. Here, you can customize the confirmation process, including generating single or multiple confirmations and specifying details. Additionally, confirmations can be associated with specific bookings within a reservation.
To automatically generate confirmations, you can edit the Confirmation setting in the Navigator Options dialog, choosing to either email or print confirmations based on preset settings. Once configured, EMS will automatically send confirmations according to your chosen preferences.
